Alianza Educativa is a nonprofit organization founded in 2000 by 4 top-performing private educational institutions in Colombia (Universidad de Los Andes, Colegio Los Nogales, Colegio San Carlos and Gimnasio La Montaña). Alianza tackles the education inequality gap in Colombia by delivering high-quality education in the country’s most challenging contexts. It currently runs 11 public schools in Bogotá, serving more than 11,800 students. Its 5 oldest schools (that started operations back in 2000) are all ranked among the top 20 public schools in Bogotá (out of ~400 public schools), 3 of them ranked in the top 10 places in the city.

"At Alianza Educativa, we are committed to providing high-quality education so that all of our students get the opportunity to learn and develop a successful life plan or project. After 20 years of consistently achieving top academic and social emotional results, we now want to take Alianza Educativa’s model to the next level by codifying the practices that have made a difference in learning in our schools and making them replicable and adaptable to other schools in Colombia and the rest of Latin America".
